Lorsen Camps is fascinated by second hand objects from charity shops and car boot sales, the histories, narratives and sense of nostalgia they evoke. These things are the overflow of a society of excess, discarded as rubbish. He rescues them from the murky depths of junk store oblivion and gives them a new life through photography. He also emulates the 'charity-shop aesthetic' in nail and thread or felt works.
