Alexandra Murphy has an M.Phil in Gender and Women's Studies from Trinity college Dublin, researching Gender and Teleology in Images from Abu Ghraib: an analysis of representation and identity in the scopic field.
She is currently employed as the Course Tutor for the same course where she lectures in 'feminist theory' and 'gender and visual culture'. She is studying for her PhD at the moment (provisionally) entitled Insurgent Subjects: Pedagogy, Performance and Politics.
