Is A Raft - Geography of Nowhere" The artists walked from their home in Birmingham to the gallery in Leicester. This was documented via photographs and cassette recordings which were left at certain points along the journey in an envelope. Anyone who found these cassettes were encouraged to post back a response of this documentation of that specific time and place. This piece investigates the removal of sound from an environment put onto a tangible media and placed back into its own environment - a form of operating, locating a foreign body, reintroducing species etc. The last cassette is a recording of the photographs being put up and placed on the wall of the gallery. "shouts, screams, shrieks, wails, hoots, howls,
death rattles and sobs are all soaked up by this unfinished structure
of our space. I have been responding and disappearing in the swollen
bellies of cityscapes. Old is modernised or destroyed to allow room
for new and unique and individual architecture. This is supposed
to give people space to move, freedom to choose direction, freedom
to choose individual product. 
Justin Wiggan uses the media of phonics, text, film, object changing and drawing to make interface solutions to problems that only he has created. Oona Lurås Wiggan's Norwegian background colours her interest in the Carnivalesque, direct experience of nature, who we are when we are behind closed doors, photographic documentation of spaces and objects.
